The rabbit hunt

Everyone folded to your raise, and you'll never know if your draw would have come in. Unless the host turns on the rabbit hunt.

How it works

When a hand ends before the river because everyone else folded, the board cards that would have come are still in the deck. With the rabbit hunt on, anyone dealt into the hand can turn them over in the pause before the next hand.

  • The cards are shown to everyone at the table, and stay up for a few seconds.
  • Nothing changes: the pot has already gone to the winner. It's just to see.
  • The cards are the real ones, in deck order, so they show what would truly have come.

Why play it?

Pure curiosity, and table talk. "I folded the winner" is half the fun of a home game. Some players also use it to see how often their folds were right.

The host can turn the rabbit hunt on or off at any time, and the change applies straight away.
